New Member Orientation

Welcome to the Estes Valley Board of REALTORS®

As a new member, it is  important that you learn about the key resources and benefits available to you through your association membership.

The New Member Orientation is a self-paced, 20-step program.  At the end of the program, there is a link to a quiz that covers the information contained in the orientation. Upon completion of the quiz, we will notify you via email to schedule a time to take the REALTOR® Oath and finalize your REALTOR® membership. In addition to completing the New Member Orientation, you must complete the New Member Code of Ethics within 60 days of membership activation. Information about the New Member Ethics training is also provided in the orientation. We encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions as you complete this program.

Welcome from the Estes Valley Board of REALTORS®

Welcome to our board! We are the third smallest board in the state yet we are very active locally and at a state level in the REALTOR® community. We encourage you to attend meetings and get involved community service and fundraising events. We offer classes for continuing education and hot topics in the real estate industry.

Currently, we meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 8am at the Estes Valley Community Center lower level. We share breakfast and have a guest speaker. Quarterly we have a panel of speakers from different areas of our industry-lending, inspection, appraisals or insurance for a Q&A session. Read our Newsletters to keep informed and check out the calendar for upcoming classes and events.

We feel strongly about ethical business practices in the Estes Valley. Review the Code of Ethics and also read our Pathways to Professionalism to review proper business practices.

3-Way Agreement

The principals of your brokerage have decided to hold membership in the REALTOR® Association. Therefore, you are also required to have a REALTOR® membership. You have your choice of any Colorado local association as your primary membership.  We are excited that you chose the Estes Valley Board of REALTORS® and look forward to serving you and supporting you in your real estate career!

The term “Three-way Agreement” refers to the structure of the REALTOR® organization. This agreement was established among the National Association, the state associations, and local boards and associations.  Your state association is the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.

History of the National Association of REALTORS®

Important values of membership:
As a REALTOR®, you are held to a code of ethics that supports you and guides you in working with the public and each other.
NAR’s professional standards policies include a defined process of checks and balances to protect members and evaluate potential Code violations.
Your profession works hard to advocate for federal, state and local policy initiatives that strengthen the ability of Americans to own, buy and sell real property. RPAC promotes the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates. NAR asks you to invest annually in RPAC a minimum of $25.
The adoption of the REALTOR® brand in 1916 and its associated trademark has helped set REALTORS® apart from other real estate practitioners. REALTOR® = member and only members can use the trademark.
