Community Service is a basic tenant of the REALTOR® commitment. This year EVBOR and our Affiliate Partners partnered with local businesses to put on several major fundraising events. Our Bowling Tournament, Mini-Golf Tournament and Installation Banquet Silent Auction raise funds for important local causes. These include the Park School District scholarship program, the Estes Valley Housing Assistance Programs, helping with local housing needs through Crossroads Ministry and providing disaster relief funds locally. Our membership’s reach is powerful locally and nationally, the volunteer hours of EVBOR this year were five thousand hours. EVBOR members are also honored to work with and represent non-profits within our community. Our REALTOR® organization has a strong commitment to improving the lives of our clients and the community where we live. several

LOCAL ASSISTANCE
Our members have a heart for our community and through the difficulties of the last several years have come forward to support residents affected by the 2013 floods and the 2020 wildfires.

CROSSROADS MINISTRY
In September EVBOR hosts our annual Mini-Golf Tournament. Our generous community donates prizes for our REALTOR® and Affiliate teams. This year our funds benefitted the Junior Outreach Program. This new funding arm of Crossroads Ministry supports high school teens that are without guardians and homes. Crossroads has “adopted” these kids to help provide money to assist with housing, food, medical needs, and clothing. The end goal is to see them stay in school to graduate.

RPAC
At our annual EVBOR Installation Banquet we auction the chance to host our traveling bear trophy. REALTOR® and Affiliate members bid at our live auction and all proceeds benefit RPAC, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. The bidding gets pretty heated and there were a few times when we thought it might be traveling down to a Front Range office and we can’t let that happen.

ESTES PARK HOUSING AUTHORITY DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE
Annually the EVBOR Installation Banquet Silent Auction benefits the Estes Valley Workforce Housing Assistance down payment loan program. Rolled out 2010, this program was developed by The Estes Valley Board of REALTORS® and Estes Park Housing Authority to assist working families residing in Estes Park.

HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP
Twice per year EVBOR members meet at the Cherokee Strip parking area to don our orange vests and head out to clean our section of Highway 36 for the Adopt A Highway® program.

PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS
EVBOR Bowling Tournament
Our Spring Bowling Tournament is a fun opportunity for members to raise funds for our local high school seniors to continue their education in college or trade school. We fund two $1500 scholarships each year.

BRIGHT CHRISTMAS
Bright Christmas partners with Crossroads Ministry to provide Christmas gifts and food boxes for families in need during the holidays. This is their 38th year of serving families in the Estes Valley. 115 families were served this year and we are honored to support their work.

POKER TOUR
In the Fall our REALTORS® organize an exclusive property tour where each listing agent pays $100 for their listing to be on the tour and admission is charged to attend. Each REALTOR® receives a playing card at all five homes on the tour. At the last home cards are played. The winner has the option of keeping half of the pot or donating all the funds to a charitable cause in the Estes Valley.
